Commercial rooftop pigeonsPigeons on a commercial building are a roof problem before they are a bird problem. Flat roofs, parapets, mechanical penetrations and sheltered corners give a flock everything it needs, and the droppings that follow foul walkways and air intakes below. Our rooftop work combines live-capture traps with camera monitoring and physical exclusion.
Flocks use the same ledges, parapets and mechanical areas every day. We look at where droppings build up, where birds loaf, and which vents, signs and equipment are being used before a single trap is placed.
Traps are positioned on the roof deck the flock is already using. Each cage is fitted with a shade cover and carries feed and water, so birds held between service checks are not exposed to sun or left without water.
A monitoring camera is mounted on nearby roof hardware and pointed at the trap. It photographs the setup between visits, so the technician knows what the traps are doing without needing someone on the roof every day.
Capture alone does not fix a roof. Open vents get wire mesh, nests and droppings are removed and the area cleaned, and ledges or equipment that keep drawing birds back are identified for exclusion.
