Appearance

House centipedes have long, flattened bodies with 15 pairs of long legs. They are yellowish-gray with three dark stripes running down their back.

Habitat

Centipedes prefer dark, damp environments such as basements, bathrooms, and crawl spaces. They are often found near sources of moisture.
